About the fund
Building on the success of its Pilot Fund, the Community Broadband Fund is a $50 million private credit fund managed by Connect Humanity to scale digital infrastructure in underserved markets. They provide senior-secured, revenue-based financing to community-centric ISPs that traditional lenders and private equity overlook. Broadband offers the predictable, utility-like cash flows and inflation-hedging properties of core infrastructure, with asymmetric risk-return.
By layering in proprietary “digital equity covenants,” they ensure community ownership and governance are protected alongside investor interests. With a +$120M pre-screened pipeline and a target net IRR of ~14%, the Fund offers senior and subordinated/impact debt tranches. They are financing the essential infrastructure of the modern economy to ensure that a child’s zip code no longer dictates their ability to do homework, dismantling digital redlining while delivering market-rate returns.
