About the fund
The CS Large Cities Housing Fund acquires existing multifamily housing to quickly increase the supply of affordable apartments. The fund’s innovative model partners directly with local homeless response systems to lease half of its units to people transitioning out of homelessness, drastically reducing wait times compared to new construction. The other half of the units remain workforce affordable, offering housing solutions for low- and middle-income families. By preserving naturally occurring affordable housing and leveraging private capital, the fund presents a scalable, cost-efficient approach to tackling the affordable housing and homelessness crisis in large cities across the U.S.
