About the fund

Azolla Fund I conducted its final close in June 2023 at $239 million, combining roughly $80 million in tax-exempt catalytic capital with $159 million in conventional impact-oriented venture capital. The fund supports high-risk, high-impact climate tech that can drive gigaton-scale carbon emissions reductions but may be underfunded by traditional VCs, often backing innovative solutions in energy, industrial decarbonization, and climate adaptation. Portfolio companies include Zanskar and others across the U.S. and globally.
