About the fund

The Single-Family Investor Ownership Intervention Pilot Program is a partnership between Land Bank Twin Cities and the City of Minneapolis designed to disrupt the growing trend of investor ownership of single-family homes and reduce racial disparities in homeownership. The pilot uses dedicated public funding and Land Bank capital to acquire vacant investor-owned one-unit properties, provide participating developers with zero-percent, deferred loans covering up to 75 % of the purchase price, and support rehabilitation and sale of these homes to income-eligible owner-occupant households at or below 80 % of area median income. The goal is to create affordable homeownership opportunities and redirect properties from speculative ownership back into community hands.
