Originally established in 2017 as the Social Investment Promotion Foundation through a spin-out by members of The Nippon Foundation, SIIF merged with the Social Change Promotion Organization in 2019 and adopted its current name. It is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting impact investing in Japan to address social issues.
