City Bridge Foundation is the independent charitable arm of Bridge House Estates, one of the oldest charitable trusts in the UK, with origins dating back to the Medieval period. It was formally relaunched in its current grantmaking form in early 2000s to focus Bridge House Estates’ charitable giving on tackling poverty, inequality, and exclusion across Greater London. City Bridge Foundation operates a Social Investment Fund for London (c. £22 million allocation) through which it makes repayable impact investments, primarily focused on housing and social infrastructure benefiting disadvantaged Londoners.
