About the fund
BIO’s SDG Frontier Fund co-invests alongside BIO in a diversified range of private equity funds targeting SME growth in frontier African and Asian markets. With capital from 14 Belgian institutional and private investors, including foundations, insurance groups, banks, and family offices, the fund has committed capital into approximately 10–12 underlying funds investing in sectors such as financial inclusion, clean energy, agriculture, and healthcare. Portfolio commitments include funds such as African Rivers Fund III, Incofin India Progress Fund, Ascent Rift Valley Fund II, and several others focused on climate-resilient and inclusive growth sectors.
