ImpactAlpha, May 3 – Hustle, a peer-to-peer messaging platform, has raised $30 million in a Series B round of financing. Insight Venture Partners led the investment, with backing from corporate venture funds Salesforce Ventures and GV (formerly Google Ventures). Hustle has raised $42 million in total. Hustle is used to “strengthen relationships through dialogue,” says co-founder Roddy Lindsay. “Relationships win supporters and votes, and relationships also win business.”

  • New lines of business… Part of the company’s growth strategy is adding more businesses to the advocacy groups and non-profits already on its client roster.
  • Early backers… Hustle’s impact investors include Omidyar Network and Kapor Capital.
  • Corporate social impact support… Salesforce Ventures previously invested in Hustle through its impact fund, alongside Twilio’s impact fund.
