Abu Dhabi investor develops 50-megawatt solar power plant in Togo

ImpactAlpha, June 24 — Dubai-based AMEA Power, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi conglomerate AlNowais Investments, specializes in the acquisition, development and management of clean energy assets in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

It has completed a solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Blitta, Togo that is expected to provide electricity for approximately nearly 160,000 Togolese households.

The construction of the power plant was supported by concessional loans in the amount of $12.7 million from West African Development Bank and $15 million from the Abu Dhabi government’s Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
