Agriculture. Lithuanian climate finance company InSoil secured a €120 million ($138 million) credit facility from UK-based Pollen Street Capital to expand lending to Europe’s small and mid-sized farmers… Dutch impact firm Oxano Capital invested in Delta Bee, a Uganda-based company supporting smallholder beekeepers… A to Z Impact backed AgDevCo, an agribusiness investor focused on Africa.
Sustainable food. Toronto-based InvestEco Capital closed its fourth Sustainable Food Fund at C$106 million ($74.6 million), backed by Canada’s Social Finance Fund and other federal lenders… Amsterdam-based Pymwymic launched a €100 million ($115 million) food and agriculture technology fund.
LP / GP. Generation Investment Management closed its second Sustainable Private Equity Fund with more than $1 billion in commitments… TLG Capital secured a $120 million second close for its second Africa private credit fund, backed by the African Reinsurance Corp., Calvert Impact, Proparco and 19 other investors… FSD Africa Investment closed a $1.3 million investment in Iungo Capital, a mezzanine investor in East Africa.
Circular economy. SKF Ventures, the venture arm of Swedish industrial group SKF, backed Anferra, a Swedish startup that recycles steel-grinding sludge into ferric chloride, a water treatment chemical.
Climate tech. London-based Gaussion raised £21 million ($28 million) led by AlbionVC and BGF to advance magnetic technology for faster, longer-lasting lithium battery charging… Norwegian startup EQON clinched $6 million in seed financing to cut energy waste from industrial heating cables… Houston-based Altillion secured $5 million in seed funding to extract critical minerals from oilfield-produced water… Tunisia-based Open Startup launched a $3 million vehicle backed by KfW’s AfricaGrow Fund to fund African startups in health, climate and AI.
Financial inclusion. The British Business Bank committed £90 million ($119 million) to 10 female and diverse-led microfunds through its Investor Pathways Capital initiative… Angola-based Anda, which finances electric vehicles under a “drive to own” model, raised funding from French development financier Proparco.
Housing. Florida-based Upside raised $20 million to build employer and healthcare-plan partnerships that keep people housed… The DC Green Bank provided a $4.2 million loan to electrify a co-living community for students near Howard University.
Renewable energy. Private equity firm KKR agreed to acquire the US and Canadian operations of EDF Power Solutions, a 5.6-gigawatt renewables and storage portfolio… Singapore’s Clifford Capital secured S$446.3 million ($344 million) for its Energy Transition Acceleration Finance Partnership, anchored by Temasek… NorthX Climate Tech made its third investment in Moment Energy with a $3 million top-up for its EV battery-to-energy storage systems… South Africa-based Maia Capital secured 150 million rand ($9.2 million) in mezzanine debt for solar developer Nesa Power.
Climate finance. Africa-focused Catalyst Fund closed $30 million for its first fund to de-risk early-stage climate adaptation innovations in Africa, toward a $40 million target… Sweden’s Alecta, the country’s largest pension fund, invested $110 million in responsAbility to finance renewable energy in emerging markets… Buenos Aires-based ReForest Latam raised an investment from Mercy Corps Ventures for its drone-based ecosystem restoration technology.
