About this Role
Lendable is seeking an accomplished Investment Director to provide senior-level leadership as we expand our portfolio in Asia, primarily focusing on Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate is a seasoned private credit investor with substantial experience in fintech and structured debt, demonstrating a robust track record in high-quality transactions. Reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Fintech Investments, this role requires dynamic engagement in business development and strategic execution of investments. Based in Singapore, this pivotal position demands a proactive approach and a deep belief in the transformative power of fintech and financial inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Oversee business development activities, maintaining accountability for developing and executing a pipeline of high-quality transaction targets.
- Lead prioritization of deal flow and provide hands-on engagement in the winning of target transactions.
- Manage regional fintech investment team members and oversee deal execution.
- Maintain accountability for achieving regional deal closing and deployment goals.
- Lead execution of transactions, including deal due diligence, structuring, and legal oversight.
- Identify and provide guidance on risks, mitigants, and risk/reward trade-offs.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance.
- 5+ years in private credit or structured debt.
- Strong professional network across Southeast Asia.
- Experience with asset-backed financing in emerging markets.
- Preferred: Professional experience in fintech at an operating company or as an investor.
