About this Role

The position of Associate, ESG Data and Investor Reporting at Ares Management involves crafting and communicating the company’s sustainability strategy, performance, and impact to a global investor base. This role is pivotal in firmwide reporting across asset classes and involves managing diverse stakeholder relationships, navigating data systems, and ensuring data accuracy. The job also involves harnessing technical and communication skills to enhance ESG reporting and data integration.

Responsibilities

  • Translate ESG analytical and reporting needs into robust technical solutions.
  • Integrate data from ESG data vendors into the reporting process.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for ESG metrics visualization.
  • Conduct QA/QC processes to ensure data accuracy.
  • Address ad-hoc ESG reporting needs for various teams.
  • Assist in driving carbon accounting initiatives.
  • Extract and analyze portfolio data using SQL.
  • Prepare and deliver regular and ad-hoc investor reports.
  • Configure and validate ESG software platforms and tools.
  • Streamline reporting workflows using automation tools.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Data Operations teams for data support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, environmental science, economics, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel.
  • Experience in developing Power BI dashboards.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • 3+ years in data analytics, reporting, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses and vendor-data onboarding.
