About this Role
The opportunity as a Junior Consultant for Climate Risk and Sustainability in the financial sector provides a chance to support financial institutions in integrating climate change risks and opportunities into their strategies and operations. You will work alongside banks, insurers, and asset managers, utilizing recognized frameworks and data analysis to facilitate sustainable economic transitions. The role requires an individual with a robust analytical eye and a passion for both sustainability and the financial industry. You will be engaged in projects concerning climate risks, decarbonization strategies, sustainable taxonomy, and finance. Your contribution will involve analysis, deliverable development, and effective client communication to convey findings and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Support consulting and advising clients in the financial sector on issues of climate risk, sustainability, and regulation.
- Collaborate in climate scenario analysis and the development of transition and decarbonization strategies.
- Collect, cleanse, and analyze climate and sustainability data (quantitative and qualitative), identifying risks and opportunities relevant to the business.
- Participate in initiatives related to sustainable taxonomy, sustainable financing, and new market requirements.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and materials to communicate results, recommendations, and key messages to stakeholders and clients.
Requirements
- Desirable: 6 months to 1 year in projects related to corporate sustainability or sustainability consulting (may include professional internships, social service, internships, relevant university projects).
- Familiarity with frameworks or standards such as ASG/ESG, TCFD, GRI, SASB or others related to sustainability.
- Interest or knowledge in international regulation and policy associated with climate change and sustainability.
- Solid command of Excel (filters, pivot tables, formulas; Power Query desirable).
- Experience or exposure to visualization tools: Power BI or Tableau.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Geophysical), Geography, Sustainable Development, Economics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related fields.
- Advanced conversational English.
