About this Role
The Cleveland Foundation is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its dynamic team responsible for managing the foundation’s growing and complex investment assets. The Investment Analyst will support the stewardship of these assets by conducting thorough research on current and potential investment opportunities, maintaining a keen awareness of market conditions, and ensuring the accuracy of investment information in financial statements. The role is also integral in enhancing the connection between the Foundation’s mission and its financial resources. This involves supporting efforts to align investments with the Foundation’s mission to foster a vibrant Northeast Ohio. Additionally, the Investment Analyst will utilize data-driven strategies to aid in implementing key business and investment initiatives across cross-functional teams within the organization. Developing a personal growth plan is crucial in this role. Continuous learning and skill development are required to enhance investment management practices and improve personal and team capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Support stewardship of investment assets.
- Conduct research on investment opportunities and due diligence on fund managers.
- Monitor the performance of the Foundation’s investment portfolio.
- Update monthly and quarterly fact sheets for investment pools.
- Prepare investment trade tickets for portfolio rebalancing.
- Assist with audit requirements.
- Prepare various presentations for the board and executive team.
- Serve as a finance liaison to Donor Relations and other teams.
- Support Sr. Impact Analyst with tracking mission-aligned investments.
- Conduct annual diversity surveys of managers and prepare reports.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in investments, wealth management, or private banking.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, or related field.
- Advanced PowerPoint, Excel modeling skills, and proficiency using Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for community and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Bloomberg Terminal experience welcome.
