About this Role
Join the Sustainable Finance team at the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Financial and Monetary System to support global efforts addressing crucial economic challenges through financial system transformation. As part of our dedicated team, you will support the scoping and execution of initiatives aligned with the Forum’s mission. In collaboration with private financiers, public institutions, and policymakers, your role will be integral to advancing agendas focused on encouraging climate and nature action while bolstering long-term economic growth. This engaging role involves reporting to the Head of Sustainable Finance, working across diverse internal teams as well as engaging with external stakeholders including governments, academia, and civil society. The Specialist will focus on delivering outcomes that leverage the Forum’s networks and events for impactful initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support the scope, design, and development of initiatives in line with the Forum’s mission
- Ensure deliverables are on track across multiple workstreams
- Coordinate with internal colleagues and external consultants
- Conduct research, stakeholder mapping, and curate existing initiatives
- Create documentation and materials for events and workshops
- Support deliverables from communication strategies to social media
- Engage with stakeholders across industries and cultures
- Utilize opportunities to leverage Forum networks for initiative outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field; a Master’s degree is a plus
- 2+ years of professional work experience in areas like banking, capital markets, etc.
- Professional experience with stakeholders in developed and emerging economies
- Strong track record in account management and/or business development
- Critical thinking and teamwork capabilities
- Ability to work in high-paced, collaborative environments across cultures
- Proficiency in English; additional languages a plus
- Willingness to travel
