About this Role

Join our team as a Social Impact Investment Manager, where you’ll help expand on relationships and unleash value creation within our Social Impact Investment platform. This role provides a unique opportunity to join a market-leading team, aiding in the origination of prospective impact investment opportunities through thorough business development and strategic market research activities. The primary duties include conducting preliminary screenings of potential investments, involving financial, market, and risk analysis. You will be tasked with developing a comprehensive social impact thesis. Leading due diligence activities will be part of your responsibility, encompassing the management of staff volunteers, preparation, and presentation of diligence materials, revision, and negotiation of transaction-related documentation. Additionally, you will assist with financial model analysis to aid in the investment decision-making process, portfolio management, and reporting—collaborating extensively with leading organisations in both the impact investing and philanthropic sectors in Australia and globally.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the origination of prospective impact investment opportunities.
  • Conduct preliminary screening of potential investments.
  • Perform financial, market, and risk analysis.
  • Develop a social impact thesis.
  • Lead due diligence activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years’ relevant experience in investment, finance, or professional services.
  • Proven quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for compelling presentations.
  • Ability to lead projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience coaching and managing junior team members.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of accounting and financing concepts.
  • Preferably a track record of personal engagement with social initiatives.
