About this Role

The Legal Counsel position at Incofin IM is a pivotal role aimed at delivering comprehensive legal advice across various domains, including fund management, private debt, private equity, and new product development. Located in Bogota, Colombia, this full-time role offers the chance to join a dynamic legal team, engaging with cross-departmental functions to safeguard the legal, regulatory, and transactional integrity of the firm’s diverse offerings. Responsibilities

  • Design legal structures for financing transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation for debt transactions.
  • Provide both pre- and post-signing support.
  • Collaborate with investment and investor solutions teams on new funds and products.
  • Offer legal and transactional advice for private equity deals.
  • Assure the legalities of investment and divestment transactions.
  • Develop action plans for collections and workout activities.
  • Supply day-to-day legal support on corporate matters.
  • Advise on terms and structuring related to funds and facilities.
  • Manage relations with regulators to obtain necessary approvals.

Requirements

  • Master of Laws from a top-tier university with an excellent academic record.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, investment funds, or corporate M&A.
  • Professional experience in an international context is essential.
  • Proficiency in English (Minimum TOEFL score of 104 or IELTS score of 7.5, if not a native speaker).
  • Additional language skills, particularly in French, are a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a creative problem-solving approach.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
  • High energy level coupled with resilience to stress.
  • Process-oriented mindset with an aim to improve workflows.
