About this Role

The Loan Administration Associate will play a critical role in supporting the financial operations within Closed Loop Partners’ catalytic private credit strategy. The position is located in the New York City office and involves working closely with the Director of Private Credit and Catalytic Capital to oversee the management and servicing of loan portfolios. The Associate will engage in comprehensive loan documentation, servicing, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to transaction specifications and regulatory standards. The role demands excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of both debt and equity structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating seamless deal closings and working alongside the fund finance team. Additionally, the Associate will play a vital role in investor relations, providing accurate financial data and managing stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and maintain loan documents to ensure compliance with transaction specifications, credit approvals, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee payments and manage interest rate adjustments, amortization schedules, and modifications, offering administrative support across the full life-cycle of loans and investments.
  • Coordinate the closing flow of funds, ensuring the availability of cash by fund for settlements, working with treasury to execute all wire transfers.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the investment team and fund finance team, facilitating seamless deal closings.
  • Review and reconcile finance records for all portfolio positions including borrower/investee reporting, loan payment schedules, holdings reports, and fund return calculations.
  • Assist in loan provisioning internal reviews and discussions.
  • Contribute to annual fund audit activities, collaborating with the investment team, fund finance team, third-party administrators, and auditors.
  • Support and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including borrowers, investees, participating lenders/investors, and deal professionals.
  • Work closely with the investor relations team to provide timely and accurate financial data, impact outputs, and fund returns information related to capital activity events.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in Loan Operations, Accounting, and/or Fund Administration, specifically in Private Credit.
  • Strong background in private credit, leveraged loans, lower middle market lending, corporate debt, or private fund operations.
  • Understanding of loan accounting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Experience using a loan administration software.
  • Acute attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and enhance processes.
  • Team player with an interest in sustainability and the natural environment.
