About this Role

Raza Development Fund is seeking a Director of Program Compliance dedicated to ensuring that all programs funded by federal and foundation grants meet all applicable regulations, laws, and organizational policies. This role demands a meticulous approach to compliance processes, policy development, audits, and reporting requirements, working closely with program managers to ensure the success and integrity of RDF’s grant-funded activities. In this role, you will lead compliance processes by developing and maintaining consistent policies and practices, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, and managing risk through proactive audits and corrective actions. As the primary contact for compliance inquiries, you’ll provide necessary training, guidance, and support to promote a culture of accountability within RDF.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with programmatic requirements for federal, state, and local grants.
  • Lead programmatic reporting for various funders and assist with communications as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and programmatic goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for program compliance.
  • Implement processes for monitoring compliance activities and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance practices.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports to funders and stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and corrective actions.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of compliance documentation.
  • Design and deliver training programs for staff on compliance requirements.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory changes and program updates.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to address compliance risks.
  • Develop corrective action plans to resolve compliance issues efficiently.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, program management, or grants administration.
  • Expertise in managing compliance for federally funded programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of programmatic compliance regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in compliance tracking systems and software.
  • Certification in compliance or grants management is preferred.
  • Experience in community development or mission-driven organizations is a plus.
