ImpactAlpha, November 28 – The London-based digital investing platform is the latest online advisor to respond to everyday investors’ demand for socially-focused investment options.

Nutmeg has launched a “socially responsible” investment theme for customers with general investment accounts and “individual savings accounts”, or ISAs–an investment product that allows U.K. savers to sock money away tax-free. The theme primarily uses environmental, social, and governance screens to invest in stocks and exchange traded funds. Investments are selected based on 10 different financial risk levels.

Baseline investment amounts across Nutmeg’s products range from £100 to £5,000 ($128 to $6,400), with fees of 0.75% per year.

Nutmeg joins the ranks of other automated investment services like Betterment, Wealthify, Wealthsimple and Motif that have adapted their products to include social investments, and dedicated social investing platforms like Swell, OpenInvest, and Earthfolio.

Nutmeg is a signatory of the U.N. Principles of Responsible Investment.
