Lux Capital backs “impact inventors” with $400 million fund

Lux Capital has launched a $400 million fund to back “impact inventors.”

The fund makes early-stage investments in science and technology startups that are “inventing the future without destroying humanity.”

Ventures already in Lux’s portfolio have developed driverless cars, autonomous boats that collect oceanographic data, and innovations in neuroscience.

Lux raised the full $400 million for its fifth fund in a few weeks bringing Lux’s assets under management to $1.1 billion.
