About this Role
Quantified Ventures seeks a dynamic Vice President, Climate Finance to lead and support the Climate Finance solution teams effectively. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role involves providing strategic direction, overseeing project delivery, and cultivating team development. The successful candidate will have superior team-building skills and a deep commitment to Quantified Ventures’ mission. This position requires someone capable of navigating complex and ambiguous situations and translating detailed operations into long-term objectives. The Vice President will play a crucial role in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all climate solutions, ensuring high performance, cross-team learning, and productive collaboration.
- Drive and lead the identification and pursuit of new business development opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand the reach of the Climate Finance team.
- Coordinate projects and teams and align processes to efficiently and effectively deliver impact and achieve organizational goals.
- Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Provide high-level oversight across solutions and projects to ensure quality, deepen partner and client relationships, and drive toward efficiency and other business objectives.
- Cultivate and support the management of high-performing teams, including oversight of staffing requirements, recruitment, training, professional development, and retention.
- Act as a key support to the Managing Director and a growing Climate Finance team, overseeing daily operations and serving as a project and process resource to teams.
- Contribute to the organization’s strategic planning, ensuring alignment with growth areas and broader organizational goals.
- Track project and team performance, address any issues, and implement improvements to increase impact and ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive project success and organizational impact.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in conservation, water management, economic development, or resilience finance, with a track record of success in leading effective teams and achieving goals.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully overseeing project delivery and managing remote teams.
- Expertise in environmental issues, finance, and awareness of key market drivers, trends, and challenges.
- Proven ability to handle complex project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and finite resource allocation.
- Experience in supporting senior leadership and contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of climate finance mechanisms at the local, state, and federal levels and their application in addressing climate challenges.
- Experience in consulting (or consulting like) environments, with a capacity to effectively interpret and translate data and numbers (e.g., economic models).
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders at the local, state, and national levels.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with demonstrated experience in promoting and supporting a diverse workforce.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to a diverse audience.
- Experience working with and facilitating collaborative outcomes with various stakeholder groups in design and project development.
- Willingness to both oversee and contribute to the development of work products, including financing of projects and subject matter expertise in the climate finance sector.
