Website The ImPact
The ImPact is a US-based nonprofit organization with a primarily remote and globally distributed team. We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead the finance, legal, human resources (“people operations”), and internal systems work for the organization. These functions comprise The ImPact’s “Operations Division,” which the Director of Operations oversees, including managing team members and outsourced vendors who support each of these functions. The Director of Operations will report to The ImPact’s Executive Director and will be a member of The ImPact’s Management Team.
Given our team is globally distributed across the US, France, Chile, and Singapore, we have a preference for candidates based on the East Coast of the US (Central or Eastern time zones) for easier time zone management. Our core ways of working are anchored in a combination of virtual synchronous meetings and asynchronous discussion and collaboration in writing and using other virtual collaborative tools. We also believe that consistent in-person connection and collaboration is important – for relationship building, team members’ professional growth, and effective work.
This role is crucial in ensuring the functional health, financial viability, and legal compliance of our nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US nonprofit operations, has experience managing the financial and operational details of fiscal sponsorships, champions an inclusive team culture that supports synchronous and asynchronous work across time zones, and is passionate about creating impact through investments.
Expected base compensation for this role is between $160,000 – $180,000 USD, commensurate with experience and location. The ImPact offers a generous benefits package including health and dental insurance, 20-days paid time off, 401(k) retirement plan with an employer contribution match, and professional development budget for learning and training.
