About this Role

The Manager, Environmental Impact will oversee Four Seasons’ global environmental sustainability efforts, ensuring initiatives align with the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives. In this role, you will play a critical part in addressing climate change and reducing energy, water, and waste across Four Seasons properties. You will be responsible for managing the global carbon accounting and annual greenhouse gas inventory, ensuring adherence to industry standards and reporting requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing expertise on environmental initiatives such as reducing food waste and responsible sourcing. Additionally, you will establish key metrics and KPIs to track progress and prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders. Your role will involve representing the ESG team at conferences and working groups and fostering partnerships with environmental NGOs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Four Seasons’ global environmental sustainability efforts, including strategies for climate change and resource reduction.
  • Manage global carbon accounting and greenhouse gas inventory, aligned with regulatory and voluntary reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to progress initiatives such as reducing food waste and integrating sustainability into the built environment.
  • Develop and track metrics and KPIs to monitor sustainability targets, preparing performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Regularly assess the organization’s sustainability performance against industry peers, best practices, legislation, and trends.
  • Represent the ESG team in internal conferences and external working groups on climate and sustainability.
  • Establish partnerships with environmental NGOs to further sustainability efforts.

Requirements

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in implementing environmental programs and managing environmental performance for multi-national organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience with carbon accounting and commitment to environmental best practices.
  • Experience in developing and obtaining assurance over greenhouse gas emissions inventories for complex operations.
  • Experience in climate-related disclosures (TCFD, CDP, ESG reporting).
  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a Sustainability/ESG-related field preferred.
  • LEED or BREEAM Accredited Professional certification a plus.
  • Hospitality or luxury industry experience a plus.
