About this Role
CrossBoundary is looking to recruit full-time Investment Advisors to join their team in Latin America, specifically in El Salvador. As a member of the transaction team, you will play a significant role in increasing investment into Latin America and the Caribbean. You will also help build CrossBoundary’s long-term presence in the region. As an Investment Advisor, your primary responsibilities will include identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting macroeconomic market assessments, and providing investment transaction support. The ideal candidates should have extensive experience in high-caliber finance or consulting organizations and practical experience working in developing countries, ideally in Latin America. Applicants with an interest and expertise in international trade and investment programs will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing technical and operational aspects of CrossBoundary’s mandates in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Managing project performance and overseeing reporting of all project activities and results to key program stakeholders.
- Managing investment facilitation including:
- Transaction identification and evaluation.
- Identification and rigorous assessment of investment opportunities.
- Market assessment and ongoing market analysis.
- Conducting macroeconomic, regulatory, and operational assessments.
- Providing sector analysis for priority areas for investment.
- Investor sourcing.
- Managing numerous investor relationships.
- Transaction support.
- Leading complex transactions.
Requirements
- 7+ years in high-caliber finance or consulting organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or another advanced degree strongly desired.
- Experience working in developing countries.
- Spanish and English business fluency (Portuguese if located in Brazil).
- Demonstrated leadership skills; preferably in fast-moving and complex environments.
- Excellent analytical ability and discipline; ability to structure problems logically and design implementable solutions.
- Excellent quantitative skills; ability to apply analytical rigor to complex tasks.
- Knowledge of corporate finance and familiarity with company evaluation and valuation techniques.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues in stressful environments.
- Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Comfort with ambiguity; ability to operate effectively in a changing context.
- Knowledge of the Latin American investment landscape.
- Experience working with various stakeholders, including private equity firms, Development Finance Institutions, and development agencies, to support investments in high-impact sectors.
