About this Role
CrossBoundary (CB) is currently looking to engage with qualified Investment Advisors (IA) to source and execute significant investments in partnership with Development Finance Institutions (DFI’s) across different underserved regions. As an Investment Advisor, you will be responsible for origination, due diligence, and presentation of potential transactions, working closely with DFI’s, SME’s, and other stakeholders to ultimately unlock capital. The role involves building a network of contacts in both public and private sectors, identifying transaction opportunities, and supporting post-execution performance monitoring. You will serve as a senior point of contact for stakeholders, helping with program development and management, and representing the firm in conferences and interdepartmental activities. The role also includes conducting comprehensive analyses of new loan and insurance proposals and supporting negotiations on loan terms, collateral security, and policy requirements.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong network of contacts in public and private sectors.
- Serve as the principal point of contact in prospecting the market.
- Identify and pre-screen transaction opportunities.
- Assist with transaction execution and due diligence.
- Monitor and report on policy or legislation changes.
- Support post-execution performance monitoring.
- Assist with the verification of conditions subsequent.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for stakeholders.
- Assist in program development and management.
- Represent the firm in conferences and interdepartmental activities.
- Collaborate to assess project feasibility.
- Prepare materials for review by approving authorities.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of new loan and insurance proposals.
- Evaluate financial, technical, economic, legal, marketing, and political feasibility.
- Support negotiations on loan terms, collateral security, and policy requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, financial advisory, or related fields.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Expertise in project structuring, corporate and project finance, and financial modeling.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working independently with minimal supervision.
- Existing network of professional contacts in frontier markets preferred.
- US citizenship required.
