About this Role

As a Business Development Associate focusing on originations at Lafayette Square, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and outreach efforts of the company. You will be tasked with conducting extensive market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients within the finance industry. Generating leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking events, referrals, and digital outreach will be a significant part of your responsibilities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients is essential, as is the ability to prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals. These presentations must communicate the value proposition, benefits, and ROI of our offerings effectively. Additionally, you will lead negotiations with clients to close deals, ensuring that agreements are mutually beneficial and meet both client and company objectives. You will also work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and client services to align business development efforts with company goals, ensuring seamless client onboarding and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the finance industry.

  • Coordinate activities to ensure seamless client onboarding and implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • Previous experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within the finance industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial products/services, market trends, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
