About this Role

The Treasury team at British International Investment is responsible for the efficient cash management of approximately £800 million across various currencies and countries. As part of this team, you will manage in-house long-term liquidity and cashflow modelling, assess future liquidity performance, and mitigate treasury risks. This role involves working closely with investment portfolio systems, contributing to strategic planning, data analysis, and providing counsel on local currency loans and foreign exchange exposures. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in overseas investment, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to BII’s development mission.

Responsibilities

  • Manage in-house long-term liquidity and cashflow modelling
  • Assess future cashflows and liquidity performance
  • Mitigate treasury risks
  • Evolve cashflow model in response to business developments
  • Design and execute data analysis for use by the Executive Committee and Board
  • Analyze risks and contribute to risk mitigation strategies
  • Produce regular and ad hoc reports on various portfolio aspects
  • Liaise with deal teams to collect and integrate cashflow data
  • Contribute to Treasury strategic planning

Requirements

  • Strong interest in overseas investment and the use of analytics
  • Suitable professional experience in gathering, validating, and applying investment information or strategic planning
  • Experience in process review and design
  • Preferably part-qualified as an accountant or have a treasury qualification
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to research and collate data
  • Demonstrable ability to draw conclusions and present ideas
  • Very strong financial modelling and systems skills, including Excel
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Strong motivation by BII’s development mission and commitment to social goals
