About this Role

The Associate Director, Collaboration Services and Operations will lead key initiatives within the Funder Collaborations Department. This position involves providing member services, managing complex international convenings, and overseeing a range of projects essential for the department’s success. The role requires a balance of management, execution, and strategic planning skills, along with the ability to foster strong team communications and workstreams. The position also involves direct interaction with high-level funders and organization executives, requiring exceptional project management, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee programmatic operations of funder collaborations, including member services, products, and relationship management systems.
  • Improve back-end processes and infrastructure to manage numerous relationships effectively.
  • Codify and update processes to clarify departmental expectations for members.
  • Develop and manage a collaboration services and products plan with input from various teams.
  • Oversee grants/membership contributions coordination with the development team.
  • Coordinate goals and themes for international climate funder convenings.
  • Manage administration and services for premier convenings, ensuring all logistics and operations are in place.
  • Oversee meeting logistics and operations for multi-day meetings internationally.
  • Oversee on-site staff management for large convenings in partnership with the FC Meetings Manager.
  • Assess and review processes systematically throughout the year.
  • Manage department staff, communications, workflows, and budget planning.
  • Negotiate and oversee contracts with external partners and consultants.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience managing complex, stakeholder-involved projects.
  • At least 5 years managing teams with multiple direct reports.
  • Experience managing significant projects with non-direct report contributors.
  • Proven expertise in overseeing substantial multi-day convenings.
  • Experience in managing donor/member services for organizations with over 100 members.
  • Superior collaborative project management skills with cross-team coordination experience.
  • High-level communication and writing abilities with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfort and confidence in supporting and influencing VIPs and executives.
  • Ability to recruit and manage diverse individuals and foster workplace inclusion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and flexible management style.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Technically savvy with new technology adoption skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for experience in nonprofit or advocacy work.
  • Sense of humor and ability to maintain productivity under deadlines.
