Hartford Funds launches mutual fund with “global impact”

The team at

Hartford Funds, which manages $78 billion in assets, has launched the Hartford Global Impact Fund, its second socially responsible public equities product.

The new fund will invest in companies addressing health, clean water and sanitation, financial inclusion, alternative energy, and resource efficiency.

The fund is “a direct response to increasing advisor and investor demand for more products” that account for environmental, social and governance, or ESG, factors said Hartford’s Anita Baldwin.

Hartford added the Environmental Opportunities Fund last year to invest in companies addressing environmental challenges and improving resource efficiency.
