ImpactAlpha, May 9 – Edukasyon, based in Manila, has an online platform that helps students find high schools and colleges, plan their education and careers, and apply for scholarships. It connects students to institutions in the Philippines and abroad. Edukasyon says it currently has 1 million student users a month.

  • Funding round… KSR and French Partners, a co-investment platform based in Geneva, invested an undisclosed amount in the pre-series A round. The current round follows a seed financing in December of 2016, led by UK-based Mustard Seed and backed by other impact funds, family offices, and angel investors, according to DealStreet Asia.
  • Expansion plans… Edukasyon said it will use the money to expand its offerings in the Philippines and abroad, and add data to support its users. Edukasyon plans to raise a series A round in the fourth quarter of 2018.
