ImpactAlpha, June 5 – Tempohousing Nigeria specializes in repurposing shipping containers into low-cost housing in Nigeria, home to Lagos, Africa’s most populous city.

Tempohousing Nigeria, a division of Dutch prefabricated real estate company Tempohousing Global, also develops office and retail spaces. It piloted its first project in Lagos in 2012 after winning the Living Labs Global Award, a startup competition addressing urban challenges worldwide.

  • Equity stake… Nigerian investment firm Àrgentil Capital Partners has acquired a 20% stake in Tempohousing Nigeria for an undisclosed sum.
  • Small business fund… Àrgentil, which does not describe itself as an impact investor, used its small business fund to make the investment.
