About this Role
Natcap is seeking a Senior Nature Consultant eager to contribute to the nature-positive movement. The position involves utilizing cutting-edge data and advisory support to guide organizations in navigating the evolving nature and biodiversity landscape. The consultant will work directly with the Head of Delivery and the Consult team, playing an integral part in helping clients incorporate nature intelligence into their strategic decision-making processes. In this role, the Senior Nature Consultant is expected to manage client relationships effectively, ensuring high-quality delivery throughout project timelines. The role requires a proactive approach to understanding client needs and providing bespoke solutions. The consultant will also leverage AI tools to enhance research and analysis, contributing to the development and enhancement of Natcap’s platform and service offerings.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer relationships and lead customer-facing calls
- Understand customer needs, priorities, and commercial context
- Scope projects and support proposal development for new opportunities
- Manage workstreams and ensure high-quality project delivery
- Produce and quality-check outputs, including research and data analysis
- Translate complex nature-related insights into clear narratives for clients
- Utilize AI tools to support research and delivery where useful
- Collaborate with Product colleagues to identify improvement opportunities
- Build repeatable, scalable solutions for nature-related challenges
- Contribute to a supportive, inclusive team culture
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a consulting role
- Strong academic background in relevant fields such as economics or environmental science
- Experience in leading customer projects and delivering high-quality outputs
- Excellent customer communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex concepts
- Ability and motivation to learn new concepts quickly
- Comfort working in a fast-moving start-up environment with shifting priorities
- Genuine motivation to help customers take action on nature-related matters
- Interest in utilizing emerging AI tools to enhance delivery
