About this Role
The Credit Risk Intern position at Sahel Capital is designed for individuals with strong analytical acumen and a passion for finance. Responsibilities
- Prepare credit assessment memos and financial statement analysis.
- Calculate key metrics such as DSCR and leverage ratios.
- Conduct due diligence and research sector context for borrowers.
- Prepare portfolio quality reports and maintain borrower databases.
- Support investment committee presentations and track early warning signals.
- Maintain and develop borrower financial models.
- Conduct sector research and monitor macroeconomic developments.
Requirements
- Completion of NYSC is mandatory.
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- CFA Level I passed or working towards CFA qualification preferred.
