Clean energy. BrightNight landed $260 million in tax equity financing for its Arizona solar project... UK-based Hometree raised £50 million to finance and install solar panels, batteries and heat pumps in residential homes in the UK… The International Finance Corp. committed $25 million Acumen’s Hardest to Reach Fund off-grid solar fund… The US Energy Department’s Loan Programs Office extended a loan guarantee to Clean Flexible Energy and a conditional loan to Aspen Aerogels.
Circular economy. Virginia-based Molg secured $5.5 million to build robotic “microfactories” that dismantle e-waste for reuse.
Climate finance. New York’s Ember Infrastructure, Sydney’s Virescent Ventures and Montreal’s Diagram Ventures notched funding milestones that bring the collective amount raised for their climate investment funds to more than $650 million.
Climate tech. Paebbl in Rotterdam raised €22.8 million to sequester carbon in concrete and other building materials… Danish fund manager PSV Hafnium raised €38.2 million to invest in early stage ventures in the Nordics developing deep tech to support the climate transition.
Financing small businesses. Brazil’s Asaas landed $148 million to help small businesses digitally manage their financial operations and transactions… Opportunity Finance Network has fully allocated $25 million of catalytic philanthropic capital… Waribei in Côte d’Ivoire landed €750,000 to help informal traders access inventory financing.
Investing in health. Italy-based Kyip Capital secured €30 million for its health and wellness-focused Kyip Impact Mission fund.
Muni impact. Kataly Foundation charts an equitable bond strategy as it looks to spend down its reserves.
Returns on inclusion. Fearless Fund backed Black woman-led ecommerce startup Zimi… Rubio Impact Ventures backed Female Invest to address the retirement gender-wealth gap.
