Social entrepreneurs join tech leaders and scientists in calling to lift travel ban

A Who’s Who of leaders of social enterprises, nonprofits and other organizations signed an open letter opposing President Trump’s executive order.

“This ban will make our work to foster peace, sustainability, opportunity and inclusiveness much harder,” the letter said.

Signers include philanthropist Jeff Skoll, Acumen’s Jacqueline Novogratz, Village Capital’s Ross Baird, Sonen Capital’s Stuart Davidson, Echoing Green’s Cheryl Dorsey, Root Capital’s Willy Foote, Investor’s Circle’s Bonny Moellenbrock, Living Goods’ Chuck Slaughter and Kipp’s co-founders Mike Feinberg and Dave Levin.

“Listen to the voices of those of us who lead organizations on the front lines of social change each and every day, using business best practices and often partnering with government.”

The letter follows an amicus brief filed in support a Washington state lawsuit against Trump’s immigration orders signed by nearly 100 U.S. CEOs and a separate letter sent to Trump signed by 150 scientists and biotech leaders.
