We are looking for a Research Analyst to expand and guide our research at Sightline Climate. This role includes conducting primary research, analyzing market data, and producing insightful analyses that help shape the climate tech landscape.


The Role

  • Conduct in-depth research across critical sectors in power, industrial decarbonization, carbon, batteries, or mining.
  • Collect and analyze data in sector investment, project deployment, supply chains, and demand to build a view on commercialization.
  • Convert complex data and research findings into actionable frameworks and insights for a range of audiences, including investors, policy makers, and industry leaders.
  • Engage with and present to external stakeholders, offering thought leadership and reinforcing and expanding Sightline Climate’s position as the premier source of climate tech intelligence.
  • Stay on top of the latest trends and advancements in climate tech and integrate these insights into our research framework.


The Essentials

  • Research experience in one or more of the following areas: industrial decarbonization, carbon capture and storage, carbon removal, gridtech, batteries, or mining and metals.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex data in a comprehensible manner.
  • Innately curious and passionate about climate tech innovation.
  • An ability to explore and understand the commercial and economic implications


A Plus

  • A Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Environment / Climate, or other Sciences
  • Additional data analysis skills / experience in Excel, SQL, or Python
