The Opportunity

The Senior Associate,  Investment Operations/ Fund Accounting is critical to our firm’s ability to deliver timely and high-quality internal and external reporting, and  ensuring the quality and integrity of our investment data. It is focused on entering and approving investment transactions and managing investment reporting.

The ideal candidate loves operations, is detail-oriented, analytical, and improvement-focused with experience with private investments.   You are passionate about operations in general, and are focused on transactional processing, data reconciliation, auditing, and input. You have fluency with private investment concepts, such as reading capital account statements, valuation updates, capital calls, familiarity with private fund structures.

This is a full time, remote position and can work from anywhere in the US with work hours aligning with Eastern Standard Time (9-5:30 with some flexibility).  As a remote, people-first culture, we care deeply about our team members’ connections to one another and as such, travel 2-3 times per year to company events will be required.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Operations

·       Collect, organize and manage monthly/quarterly/annual Fund reporting
·       Identify and record daily investment activity including valuation updates
·       Use attention to detail and logic to ensure transactional data quality
·       Reconcile and maintain data integrity in legacy and new investment management system
·       Assist with preparation of client reporting deliverables
·       Collect and organize client investment recommendations
·       Use judgement to escalate issues and requests appropriately
·       Progressively take on complex Investment Operations functions, as needed

Process Improvement & Collaboration

·       Proactively propose, document and implement process improvement opportunities
·       Document processes and best practices for use by the Investment Operations Team
·       Provide an elevated level of customer service to internal stakeholders
·       Communicate effectively within team and cross-functionally


·       Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and
communication throughout the client life cycle
·       Train and mentor Investment Operations Associates
·       Other ad hoc duties as assigned


Education and Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field; minimum 5 years of experience in investment operations/servicing, finance or accounting. Preferred experience with private investments. OR equivalent combination of education and experience.


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

·       Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and ability to identify and implement process
·       Knowledge of private investment concepts
·       Understanding of investments and financial services, impact investing, donor advised funds, custodial relationships preferred.
·       Strong Excel skills and ability to interface with various technology systems
·       Energetic and organized individual: highly attuned organizational skills, attention to detail, professional demeanor, ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands
·       Resourceful in searching for responses to questions and developing solutions
·       Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams required
·       Proficiency with cloud-based collaboration tools Box and Asana preferred
·       Experience working with Freshdesk preferred
·       Experience working in a virtual working environment preferred
