About this position

We are looking for a technical, service-oriented and proactive professional to provide local support in the country office in Brazil.
You will work in the local support team, part of the ITE department and the ITO division. This team is responsible for providing technical support, including user support, IT infrastructure maintenance, and collaboration on IT initiatives.

 

What will you do:

Contribute alongside the local IT point of contact (POC) to:

  • Provide support to users: This involves helping IDB Group staff in the Brazil Country Office to effectively use IT tools (hardware, software, connectivity, training, etc.).
  • Support the maintenance of IT infrastructure: This includes taking care of workstations, servers, audiovisual services, telecommunications and local suppliers.
  • Collaboration on IT initiatives: Act as a link between different IT areas, helping to implement projects and improvements.
  • Operational documentation: Ensure that you keep up-to-date records in tickets, reports and other documents.

 

What will you need:

  • Education: Analyst, Graduate or Engineer in Computer Science, or proven equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the IT field.
  • Languages:  Fluency in Portuguese and Spanish or English

 

Main skills:

  • Empathy and active listening
  • Innovate and try new things.
  • Knowledge of: MS Windows 11, MS O365, communication platforms, mobile devices (Android/iOS), MS Active Directory/Azure, virtual environments (VDI) and computer maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes for incident management, service requests and knowledge base preferred.  Certification is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 standard and continuous improvement structures are also advantages.
  • Experience in customer service and support activities.
  • Experience in project management, based on the PMI standard is an advantage.

 

 Requirements:

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of the Federative Republic of Brazil or a citizen of one of our 48 member countries eligible to obtain a valid residence or legal permission to work in Brazil without the need for IDB sponsorship.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at BID, BID Invest or BID Lab.

 

Type of contract and duration :

Type  of contract: Full-Time National Consultant.
Duration : 12 months .
Workplace:  In person
