Analyst/Associate Investment Management (m/f/d)
Key responsibilities
- Support the team in executing direct lending transactions to financial institutions (banks, leasing, and microfinance institutions) and corporates operating in the Maghreb region and West Africa in line with the mandates of the impact investment funds advised by Finance in Motion.
- Support in conducting quarterly financial assessments and portfolio monitoring of existing investees.
- Participate in internal and external reporting regarding the developments of the investment portfolio and impact measurement.
- Support the monitoring and analysis of economic developments in the region, particularly those related to the financial sector and local regulations.
- Support in identifying and implementing technical assistance projects for partner institutions and sector regulators/stakeholders.
What we expect
- Strong finance and banking background with deep financial analysis skills and good understanding of private debt and direct lending to financial institutions and corporates.
- Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of the applicable accounting standards.
- Good knowledge of the banking/financial sector, both from a business and risk perspective.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and French (mandatory).
- Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
- Interest and general knowledge of development finance and impact investment.
- Team player with an open and engaging communication style and interpersonal skills, enhanced by multicultural sensitivities.
- Goal-oriented, fully committed to deliverable high-quality results under tight deadlines.
