Manager in Fund Management (m/f/d)


We are looking for a Manager to strengthen our Fund Management team in Frankfurt or Luxembourg. Our team cooperates closely with senior management on the fund management for our debt fund mandates, including project management, financial analysis, and asset-liability management, portfolio management, fund business planning, fund structuring, and public investor relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Fund Management department’s strategic, financial, and operational tasks for one of our green fund mandates, reporting directly to the team director and in close cooperation with the fund director and other senior management
  • Prepare strategic decisions for internal senior management and the governance bodies of our funds (board of directors, investment committee, other committees) and provide overall support to senior management in strategic matters and fund management
  • Lead the preparation of financial analyses for our funds, e.g. in asset-liability management, financial planning, investment portfolio management, key performance drivers, and business planning
  • Act as counterpart to external stakeholders such as board of directors, investment committee, fund service providers, and key investors like international development banks and public institutions. Negotiate and execute new funding transactions with such investors
  • Provide strategic guidance to and cooperate with other teams (e.g. investment management, risk controlling, distribution, valuation)
  • Support the development and introduction of new financial products and adjustments of the fund structure
  • Take HR responsibility for the Fund Management sub-team working on the fund (3 team members) and contribute to overall team management (~20 team members)

What we expect:

  • University degree in economics, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Prior work experience in a relevant field, such as asset management, impact investing, banking, finance, accounting, or consulting
  • Experience/Expertise in financial analysis, asset-liability management, portfolio management, investment funds
  • Experience in leading individual team members or small teams
  • Interest in impact investing, development finance, green finance, asset management
  • Initiative, proactive and result-oriented approach to work. Highly committed.
  • Self-starter with analytical and strategic mindset; strong analytical skills, affinity to numbers
  • Independent and well-organized when working across diverse tasks
  • Team player with an international mindset and intercultural skills
  • Strong communication skills in internal and external settings
  • Excellent English language skills (working language)
