Website Emerson Collective

Emerson Collective blends philanthropy and targeted investments to generate and sustain groundbreaking initiatives. Our partners range from artists to scientists, educators to technologists across the United States and around the world.  We have a community of change-makers, diverse and disparate in backgrounds with a core belief that we should not accept the world as it is.

As with the whole of Emerson Collective, what matters most is that we work with people who are not only the very best at what they do, but also the kindest.

The Opportunity

Emerson Collective (EC) seeks to advance humane, practical migration policies that respect the dignity of migrants and acknowledge the variety of forces – including climate change – influencing decisions to migrate. We recognize the challenges irregular migration poses to sending, transit, and receiving countries, and we seek to promote and help implement regional and sub-regional frameworks for managing migration that expand safe, legal migration pathways and help stabilize and integrate migrant populations in major Latin American host countries.

The Manager of Hemispheric Migration will support Emerson’s engagement with governmental and civil society leaders in the Americas to advocate for a shared commitment and shared responsibility for a well-managed hemispheric migration system. This role will report to the Program Lead for Latin America and Director, Hemispheric Migration. The role is based in Mexico City or Washington, DC, with frequent travel required.

  • Help identify, conduct due diligence processes, make grants to, and convene key regional actors to enable and advance a dedication to humane, managed migration.
