About this Role
Acre is seeking an experienced and energetic strategist to lead their client’s sustainability communications and ESG reporting offers. This is a unique opportunity to join an end-to-end creative agency known for using creativity to drive business change. As a Director, you will work towards delivering the ambition to offer the most compelling and robust sustainability communications and ESG reporting, in close collaboration with the partner group. You will be responsible for developing a world-class reporting offer and providing strategic counsel on reporting needs. Your role will also include managing and delivering reporting projects from inception to completion, sourcing new business leads, and upskilling a multidisciplinary team in the latest developments in sustainability communications and ESG reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop a world-class reporting offer, leading the entrepreneurial development of ESG and sustainability reporting and communications.
- Provide strategic counsel on reporting needs, addressing key issues such as value creation, business models, strategy, stakeholder engagement, purpose, culture, values, risk, and governance.
- Manage and deliver reporting projects from inception to completion, ensuring excellence and identifying opportunities for organic growth.
- Leverage your network to source new business leads, create and lead pitches, and develop new business opportunities.
- Raise the profile of the ESG offer by being a subject matter expert, speaking at industry events, and writing thought leadership pieces.
- Line manage and mentor direct reports, ensuring they are challenged and supported to reach their full potential.
- Upskill the multidisciplinary team in the latest developments in sustainability communications and ESG reporting.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience advising on and delivering ESG and sustainability reporting and communications.
- Knowledgeable in major global frameworks such as SASB, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, and GRESB, and current/incoming ESG reporting regulations like EU CSRD and ESRS.
- Proven track record in turning reporting against frameworks into compelling investor and stakeholder communications.
- Experience in investor-leaning ESG, digital communications, brand, and employee engagement is highly advantageous.
- Experience working in a specialist creative agency or as an in-house Head of Sustainability.
- Strong understanding of the evolving regulatory and best practice landscape in the UK, EU, and globally.
