Conscious Investment Management (CIM) is a leading impact investment fund manager
in Australia. We were founded in 2019 with a vision for a fairer, more sustainable world

Position overview and key responsibilities
The Investment Analyst/Associate will be a key member of the investment team,
supporting the assessment and execution of new investments, and management of CIM’s
impact investment funds. You will help source and develop new investments, undertake
due diligence, build and review financial models, and support transaction documentation
and reporting.

Specifically, you will:
– Build and review financial models
– Undertake valuation and capital structure analysis
– Research and assess new sectors to form a view on market opportunities.
– Support assessment of new investment opportunities including financial, impact, legal, credit and market risk analysis
– Draft investment committee papers
– Support transaction coordination and management of internal stakeholders and
external advisors
– Support ongoing management, measurement and reporting of existing investments


Desired skills and experience

Qualifications and experience
– Tertiary qualification in engineering, law, science, economics, business or commerce.
– 2-4 years’ relevant experience in property, infrastructure, corporate or project finance, or investment management.
– Passion for impact investing, climate or social justice.

Finance and investment skills
– Strong excel modelling and financial analysis skills.
– Detailed understanding of common valuation approaches and capital structures.
– Strong project management and transaction coordination skills.
– Excellent research skills and a curious mindset.

Working style
– Time management and prioritisation skills.
– Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Humility and low ego. We are a small team, and all roll up our sleeves to support the success of our investments and the sector.
– A self-starting attitude with the ability to learn proactively and work independently.
