Blue Owl is seeking an Associate to join the Institutional Business Development team.

This role is in office Monday through Thursday.


  • Serve as the primary liaison between investment professionals and the sales team with responsibility for staying current on the Firm’s credit portfolios and market views
  • Understand each portfolio’s positions / investments and communicating the strategies and thesis of positions for internal and external consumption
  • Contribute to the creation and composition of the Fund’s investor communications and communication strategy
  • Conduct research and analyze data on the financial markets, competitors, and the Firm’s portfolios and investments, synthesizing information and helping to communicate a fund’s strategy and performance to the investor base
  • Participate in new product launches, providing commentary on the fit of the strategy in the markets and potentially return drivers
  • Work with sales team to help position products in the marketplace by providing firm commentary on macroeconomic and credit topics that coincide with specific strategies being marketed


  • 3-7 years of professional experience
  • Prior work experience in the financial services industry and/or credit markets or fixed income preferred
  • Candidates should have excellent communication skills, effective presentation abilities, and possess strong analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across the firm
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Self-motivated, assertive, proactive, independent and flexible
  • Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • CFA desirable

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $130,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
