About the Role

As a Livelihoods and Partnership Manager at BFA Global, you will play a pivotal role in formulating and executing strategies to propel business growth and attain organizational goals. In addition, you will work towards influencing our clients’ strategies with data-driven insights. Your responsibilities will encompass collaboration with diverse teams, building strong partner relationships, contributing to knowledge-sharing platforms, and identifying opportunities to bolster the company’s competitive standing.

Your core strengths will include skillful client engagement, meticulous project oversight, and the ability to navigate complexity alongside partners. This position will report directly to the Gender Project Lead at BFA Global.

What you will do

  • Work closely with diverse partners to identify opportunities for enhancing women’s livelihoods through increased incomes.
  • Conduct thorough scoping for potential partners who align with project objectives and have the potential to deliver impact at scale.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new partners, ensuring they understand and are committed to the project’s goals and requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong partner relationships through effective communication and understanding of partner needs.
  • Lead and manage projects from start to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • When required, assist with the management of budgets and project deliverables
  • Synthesize outputs from research conducted by us and our partners into actionable items to facilitate quick decision-making.
  • Create knowledge outputs such as blogs, reports, and case studies to be shared with stakeholders.
  • Present findings and recommendations to project partners and other stakeholders clearly and compellingly.
  • Provide high-quality technical assistance to partners as needed to ensure the delivery of quality work that aligns with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to leverage expertise and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to share progress, insights, and challenges and to coordinate efforts across different project components.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing platforms and participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and professional networks.

Additional tasks will depend on project requirements determined by our client-driven work.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, project management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in working with diverse partners and stakeholders, particularly in projects focused on women’s economic empowerment.
  • Strong technical skills in providing quality assistance and ensuring project deliverables meet high standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and innovative approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent project management skills, including prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends in gender mainstreaming approaches and strategies.
