SecureSet Academy, which operates cybersecurity training bootcamps in Denver and Colorado Springs got a $4 million investment from the Colorado Impact Fund, a $63 million private venture fund dedicated to “positive community outcomes.”

CIF’s impact angle is to support the national need for cybersecurity expertise while promoting a pathway into high-paying entry-level jobs. SecureSet Academy claims 100 percent of its graduates in Denver and Colorado Springs have received job offers in the field, with average starting salaries of $84,000.

“There is a dramatic supply/demand gap in this industry,” said Ryan Kirkpatrick, a partner in the fund.
