CodeMonkey, which teaches coding through games, raised $1.5 million in early-stage funding, and plans to reach 30,000 elementary school students in China.

CodeMonkey, based in Israel, attracted investments from Invictus Capital, J21 Corp., Chinese-Israel Education Fund and Japanese holding company, Edulab.

Separately, Tenka Labs raised $2.1 million to develop “Circuit Cubes” — which mesh with Lego blocks to teach kids about electric circuitry.
