With Silicon Valley the epicenter of immigrant-driven wealth creation, tech titans are making up for a slow start to speak out against the president’s crackdown.

Google’s Sergey Brin, who was born in Russia, showed up at Saturday’s protest at SFO. Tesla’s Elon Musk, born in South Africa, tried to play messenger to the president. Airbnb’s Brian Chesky Airbnb offered free housing for anyone stranded by Trump’s order. Starbuck’s Howard Schultz’ pledged to hire 10,000 refugees over five years in the 75 countries in which it operates.

Lyft will donate $1 million to the ACLU; rival Uber scrambled to get on board with a $3 million legal defense fund for affected drivers.

Recode and Buzzfeed are both keeping track of the actions and reactions.
