To reimagine agriculture, go where the farmers are.

According to AOL founder Steve Case, many of the answers to how we eat, get around, consume energy and water and stay healthy will be found in the middle of the country.

Case’s investment firm, Revolution LLC, has invested $840 million between the coasts and far from Silicon Valley.

“Nearly 90 percent of venture capital last year went to blue states and just 10 percent went to states that voted for President Trump,” Case told the Wall Street Journal.

On his Rise of the Rest bus tours, Case finds middle-America entrepreneurs — and investors — focusing on what he calls important “problems-slash-opportunities,” that is, companies making positive social impact.
